Red berries fabric design

It's true to say I absolutely love creating new work, especially when I find a new and exciting direction that opens up more and more possibilities.
While I will continue passionately down my precise, graphic, linear, folk, paper cut style, a breath of fresh spring air has wafted over me, I have always loved romantic floral prints and the more I play around the more I want to create these into something, To start with I think silk scarves will be perfect then later who knows what 2015 will bring...it's so exciting!

Silk scarf design

I love scarves, I wear them every day, even in summer,  I have therefore amassed quite a collection, spotty ones, flowery ones, stripey ones so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to produce my very own ones, 100% silk no less!
I quite like the idea of mixing and matching patterns and styles as I know from experience that once worn, only sections of the design are visible, never the complete image,
I created the flowers by sketching in pencil and converting it in Photoshop.
I'll let you know what it looks like once I receive it!
I think I'll start on the next one...

MY HOUSE book!

I am so excited to share the very first pictures of my freshest book!
MY HOUSE features 3 groovy families and their joyfully, bright little home.
It has a decidedly retro feel, which you know I love!
As with MY FARM, MY ZOO and MY TOWN, each model is flat, die cut and precreased with simple to follow instructions,
I will show you more when I receive my copy hot off the press,
it will be available to purchase soon on Amazon!

paper vintage vase

I can't tell you just how much I enjoy  the process of creating something completely new from paper,  experimenting, tweaking, decorating, seeing it come to life, I especially enjoyed designing this cute little vase, you see I have quite a collection of real ceramic mid century vases and the idea that I can make my own is very exciting, I can see a whole series coming on!

Seven Stories Christmas exhibition

You can imagine just how thrilled and delighted I was recently when Templar Publishing emailed me to tell me that Seven Stories  The Centre for Children's Books have decided to create an exhibition featuring life size models of my latest Christmas Paper Craft Book!
The only thing I am disappointed about is that I can't go as it's in Newcastle Upon Tyne in England, it runs till the 4th of January, so if your in the area, do pop in and let me know all about it!
I will hopefully receive some more photos to show you soon!
